As a Northwestern University student, I will not only be a brilliant engineer but leader of engineers. Taking full advantage of the school’s hardworking spirit and quarter system, I will gain both depth in environmental engineering and the breath of all engineering. Moreover, I very much look forward to take Engineering Design and Communication course which will expose me to present engineering problems from early years and instill the virtue of teamwork. Therefore, when I conduct a project as a leader of the group, after graduation, my Northwestern University education will be an invaluable asset to lead the team efficiently and effectively.
I have this crazy idea of turning a desert into a forest. I wish to make a genetically modified plant that can endure harshest environments. I know my ambition is big; however, I have no doubt that at Northwestern University, where students are highly motivated and love challenges, my dream will not be a mere fantasy but will turn into a reality.
